The Love Story Package

I will drive anywhere on Big Island to perform your ceremony at no extra cost.

Known as "Pu," it serves as a sacred call to the divine, marking the official start of a special ceremony.

Included is a double strand ti-leaf lei and white orchid rose lei. (see Gallery for reference)

I email you several questions about your relationship. From your answers, I write your custom ceremony.

We’ll meet on ZOOM so I can listen and write down your answers from the Custom Written Ceremony questions.

I use a hand woven ti-leaf and raffia grass rope to bind your hands together while speaking to the symbolism of it.

Both of your feet will stand in an arch of greenery and fresh flowers (see Gallery for reference)

A 15-minute introduction call where I talk about my services and answer your questions.

A step-by-step guide on how to apply and receive your marriage license in Hawaii.

Included in both packages—I take care of the application and fee.

A PDF of my personal guide to Big Island’s best eats & adventure activities.

A timeless Hawaiian tradition, you each drape the lei over ones shoulders and gently kiss each side of your partners cheek while I explain the meaning behind it.

You each take turns saying words of commitment, love and dedication to each other.

I fill a hand-carved wooden bowl with ocean water and place your wedding bands inside. I pour water over your rings using the leaf of a native Hawaiian plant and explain the symbolism of the elements.

Right after your ceremony, all 3 of us sign your paper marriage license. If you’re taking your partners name, you’ll want to practice writing it in cursive beforehand!

A thick foil lined paper certificate that declares where and when your marriage took place. All 3 of us sign this and then it’s your’s to keep!

I will file your marriage license with the Hawaii Department of Health within 6 hours after your ceremony. You’ll receive your hard copy in the mail in 4-6 weeks.
